I’m Murray Partridge of ‘Freshwater’ fame from those heady rock music days in the 70′s.
So what’s happening with my music now.
I’ve been on a journey for many years now, a big part of which has been involved in musical meditation.
For the last 10 years I have been based on the Central Coast on the Eastern seaboard of Australia about an hour’s drive from Sydney. I have been studying and working with the Logic music programme, in my studio here on the Coast. It has always been my passion to write music as well as to play.
What happened to those wild days of Rock you might ask? I decided to go this way, several years ago now, after gigging around the Central Coast for a while, in bands like, Blues Newz, Spoilt Rotten and others. The whole live gig thing, playing in sleazy hotels was demoralizing and financially unviable.
At one point in the eighties I spent some time working with Harvey Mann from “Space Farm”, Eddie Hansen, of “Ticket” and “Under Dogs” fame and we were briefly in the Living Force line up together, until I went my own way. The influences from these periods of my life have now melded together in my music into an alternative style of music: Meditation Rock.
This music is centred on mood, connecting to a persons feelings, rather than physically assulting them with sound as is the case with much Rock Music.
I am releasing music gradually as I write it and hope to have a new CD out later this year. If you would like to contact me leave me a message in the sign up box below and I will add you to my mailing list and keep you personally updated.
Thanks for your interest in my music. Also coming out soon will be a video clip or two – so keep an eye out for those.
